Barefoot Homeschooler

Why did I decide to do homeschool? How long have I been homeschooled? Have I ever done public school? As a homeschooler I get these questions all the time. So, I decided to answer those questions today.  When I was younger, like second grade, I meet a girl who introduced me to homeschooling. We were both in public school at this time, but my friend only went to public school for half the day, then was homeschooled for the rest of the day. As a young child I thought that that was the coolest thing ever. So over then next year I convinced my Mother to homeschool me for my fourth grade year. That was the year I fell in love with homeschooling. Now I'm in highschool and I still love it! The flexibility and adaptability of it works well with my personality. For some people, it wouldn't end well, but for me it works perfectly. For those considering homeschooling, I'd say, give it a chance! Take a leap! Hi! I'm the Barefoot Gal, and I'm a homeschooler! This blog is about my life and my experiences as a sister, daughter, friend,  Christian,  homeschooler, painter, baker, and so many other things. But for this post I wanted to tell you guys what made me start this blog.  My Mother and I were in a class about incorporating travel into your schooling, something I absolutely love doing, and we were talking about some trips we wanted to go on. Then my Mother said I should write reports about where we went or even start a blog about it. I love writing and the idea of starting a blog excited me. I had never thought before about doing one, but it really felt like something I should try. So that very day, I started Barefoot Homeschooler! And I'm so glad I did! I've barely just started but it's already fun to do! I chose the name Barefoot Gal because when I was little I would always be playing outside without shoes on.
